There are some who believe Monahan is among the worst #1C's in the entire league.
Then you point out that since Monahan entered the league in 2013/14 he has scored the 15th most goals out of any forward in the league, and the 7th most goals out of any center in the league....but those people are quick to dismiss that as him just riding the coat tails of Gaudreau.
