Any advice or tips here appreciated, although Im sure the conclusion will be to take in for servicing. This is a new bike, but I didn’t purchase in Calgary, so taking back to retailer is tough.
Purchased a Specialized Allez Sport a month ago and have been experiencing some ghosting/slipping on a single gear since almost the beginning- 3rd largest cog. At first I thought it was only when pedalling under pressure, but flipping the bike over and just hand pedalling, I can see the chain disengaging from the cog and attempting to switch to the next largest- it doesn’t though, just engages again and continues to keep slipping.
First guess was cable tension issue, but wouldn't it occur on every gear then? Derailleur alignment appears ok. So seems like some incorrect set up by tech.
Anyway, any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
