I definitely took into the wild as a cautionary tale. I too only recently watched this a couple of months ago. The guy simply was living this whimsical fantasy of being free and really didn't educate himself enough to survive alone in Alaska. The idea is fine in of itself but he just wasn't anywhere close to being ready. If a hunter who gave you a ride to the middle of nowhere says you're not ready and gives you a pair of boots, you're not gonna agave a good time.
One thing to survive warmer climates and a totally different beast surviving the North.
Great movie, but he wasn't smart.
