Taking Lafreniere is okay if he is in fact the class of the draft when you consider how it opens up the option to deal from LW for center talent.
It does seem karmically wise to not piss on that luck by moving down to fill positional needs.
But Byfield being nearly a year younger and doing what he has is awfully tempting. Dude is 6'4, fast and skilled. You could season him for a year cause he's young but he looks like he could step in right now as a middle six C and deliver the goods.
