Watched about as many videos I could on Lafreniere and Byfield and you know what stood out in the Lafreniere videos? Little Z making things happen for Laf as much as Laf made thing happen for little Z. That gave me a little excitement as we have that guy that helped Lafrenieres draft stock.
Byfield is crazy good. Dominant in the making everything happen through him department. He makes his team better.
I'll say Lafreniere is an Elite benefactor of finishing off plays that the team created , and is explosive in odd man rushes where as Byfield is the generator of his team. And is a Center.
So I'll retract my statement earlier in this thread, if the Flames get 1, take Byfield and call it a day. Or, trade down to 3 and take him if L.A is dead set on Stutzle.
