He’s 6’4” , 214, is a great skater, and has amazing hands and playmaking skills. I don’t think Lafreniere’s total package is as impressive.
It’s honestly a package that hasn’t come around for a while...people I’ve seen him compared to most are Malkin and Thornton. I’ll take that every day of the week.
He’s probably going to end up in L.A and I think we are going to hate having to deal with him for the next 10 years (Plus LA is amassing quite the collection of young players).

I made the point earlier that he put up 1.82ppg in his draft year, and I invite anyone to find a player coming out of Major Junior in the last decade at that age who's matched that. Lafrenniere is one, but Byfield is almost a full year younger than him. There's also McDavid, but Byfield even beats out McKinnon for draft year production-on a team with less talent to work with.
