If I had a choice to lump a bunch of players here, it'll be Makarov, Loob, Lindholm, and McDonald. Makarov is probably the most talented of all Flames and that's why he's on my 4th All-time right wing list. It's really too bad the NHL didn't know, and for the most part, still doesn't know how to play the possession game with puck like what the Russians used to do. The NHL's mentality is dump and chase and clog up the middle. What the KLM line did back in the day was and is still one of the best things I've ever seen in hockey. So, when Johnny hockey brought some of that in his first couple of years to the Flames, i'm sure a lot of kids were drawn to that. It's too bad NHL hockey hacked him down and now Gaudreau is kind of scared doing all the things he's done in the past.
