Weren't there rumours of him blowing off the team when they were doing team building things to grow the bond? Even in my work place, I am expected to go to work outings. It might not be what I want to do, but it is a good way to build relationships which all winning teams need.

I always wonder if those rumours had any merit. From what I've seen as a fan, it seemed like Dougie was in on a ton of Flames events. He did the ugly Christmas sweater promo, the yearly theme Halloween dress ups to the Children's hospitals, and other little things like the Dougie camera bombs. From the outside, he looked like a pretty fun guy to hang around. Maybe he didn't like doing the drinking / partying of some of the other guys?
