I’m not certain that any GM should approach trades that he needs to come away from the trade as a “clear winner”. If he does, he likely makes few trades. Secondly, if you need a blue chip prospect with a “very high floor”, you may be waiting a lifetime. Even the first pick in the draft can crash and burn. What would you consider Lafreniere’s floor to be?

Essentially no Hanowski's is what I mean. A lock for top 6 with an excellent chance of being a top line player.
