Hotlby on a one year show me contract sounds like a perfect solution for the coming season. I vastly prefer Lehner, but with his somewhat turbulent history and stated desire for a long term money contract, I don't think he's in the cards.
Holtby could turn around and play lights out, or be an excellent back up to Rittich. I see it as a higher reward Cam Talbot. I also don't think a one year deal for him will be very pricey.

Because it won't be a show me contract. Anyone who thinks a recent SC winning goalie who has been near the top of the league is coming in on a one year show me deal is out to lunch! If that was remotely possible I would be fine with Holtby coming in but let's talk reality here people. He isn't signing for 1 year and if he does it will be very pricey. At least 7M pricey.
