Are you seriously asking, in response to a Black man sharing his lived experience that doesn’t mesh with your casual glance at statistics, what the #### his problem is because he capitalised your name in a way you don’t like?
Maybe center the discussion around the topic, not your own white fragility that comes out whenever a Black person mentions your username. Or, change your username if you’re that sensitive over it.
To me, this is a bit of the problem. This is why conversations move slowly. Instead of just listening, certain White people want to decide what the conversation should be about or center themselves as a victim. “Don’t say my name like that!” in response to a story about how someone was targeted because of their race is... incredible.
