I'd wager that the point at which the puck is at neutral due to contact with the pad it is fully across. In the still we have it hasn't yet been stopped by the pad, still a tiny gap there. It moved a little further than the still shows us. But the low frame rate and thus the gap of time before the next image it doesn't allow us to see just how far the puck slid. And even at the point of that still/frame its not a conclusive no, either.
