Like I said previously, it is hard to accept the reality of the world we live in. It's not about being guilty or feeling shame. It's not your fault.
Many of the privileged people in our society are good people, most of them in fact. Some of the underprivileged are bad people. It's not about individuals.
What it is about, in my opinion, is the narrative that we are enlightened, that we know better, that what we have done was in the name of progress, or the greater good, or whatever nicety makes it all seem ok. It's not ok. We need to recognize it.
