Likely, true, but irrelevant to a discussion about colonialism and the modern world. We are talking about powerful nation states with a global reach and overwhelming technological advantages forcibly seizing resources and land from native peoples all the while justifying it and even lauding themselves for their efforts in the name of god and country. The comparison to inter-tribal warfare in mesoamerica is laughably naive at best.
If people want to see blood running in the streets and the symbols of our rapacious culture burned to ashes, how would it be hard to understand?
