Country trio Lady Antebellum certainly had a memorable multi-syllabic moniker for their band, but the word "antebellum" actually refers to the pre-Civil War era of American history, when slavery was rampant. Finally reading the room, the band has decided to change their name.

In a new Instagram post, the trio announced that they will now go by Lady A. (Hopefully no one asks them what the "A" is short for.)
