The New York Islanders made a deal with the Columbus Blue Jackets on Wednesday.

To NYI:

Calvin de Haan
Filip Johansson

To CBJ:

Tyler Myers
Jonny Tychonik

The deal sees the Islanders make a slight downgrade on defense to save $2.75 million in salary. (de Haan does have a better DF rating than Myers, at 86 compared to Myers' 79).

Johansson was Minnesota's first-round pick in 2018; Tychonik, a Sens second-rounder from the same draft.
