Hey everyone!
I often find myself doodling what I think a perfect league (leagues...) would look like as the only real way to take a break from everything. So I'm 'wondering out loud' if this kind of content is a welcome distraction these days.. in lieu of of the classic on-ice distraction?
The first idea will give everyone an idea of where my head's at these days! But if everyone's down with it, I have a couple Flames
and not-Flames concepts that I'm curious about CP thoughts on until hockey's really back.
A few things:
Why not
the thread?
For starters:
Mission Accomplished. I didn't want to hijack a thread that represents a different era in Flames jerseys. Now that our primaries are quality designs worth buying, we are a team that gets to try things on a 3rd jersey. I like to think that he really
did read

. On a personal note, I want to thank everyone involved and the great C&C I received in that thread over the years. That has always been a part of the good-vibes that I have reflected on. So thank you to everyone in there that enjoyed the creative part to fandom and athletics. *steps off soapbox*
Why Fire on Ice?
Funny enough, where I'd post this is a great place for conversation about what we need to be focusing on right now. Fire on Ice is where we would come to take a breath and distract our minds... but no with no one playing... maybe content here helps that a bit?
But if anyone's interested feel free to share your own stuff! All I ask from everyone is that we keep it constructive and fun. You're welcome to PM me if you have some non-constructive feedback you need me to hear. But I'd hate to encourage anyone to share something that steers them away from enjoying this.
That said... here's one that'll split a crowd!!
Day after day we are seeing massive beacons of hope amidst the (literal) smoke. In painting 'Black Lives Matter' right to the White House, an image that stuck with me was yellow-on-black DC flag painted on the street. Something about the protests weathering the storm for a few days to emerge powerful and loud has stuck with me. So I started sketching what a tribute to this in DC would look like
So Black Lives Matter in DC. In the same concept there's a few different directions still you could go. What do y'all think?
