I've been going through the same dilemma, specifically with Silver Springs.

- Closest course to my house.
- But almost certainly won't play more than 30 rounds...but the evening "four or five" sounds appealing.
- I also enjoy just hitting by myself at the range even if not playing, but that isn't the easiest or cheapest thing to do in Calgary without a membership, so this would probably benefit me more than many others as I would go a ton.
- Easily walkable which I prefer to riding.
- Know a few other members who really like it. 4 of the 6 moved from Earl Grey and all 4 say they wish they had sooner due to atmosphere/other members.
- Don't enjoy the song and dance of trying to book rounds at public courses, especially this year. Or trying to coordinate a group.
- Don't have an interest in club tournaments or anything like that but would be great to meet other golfers regardless of skill - have been paired with low or scratch golfers who were slow and dicks to play with and others who cleared 130 who were a blast and fast.
- Would likely end up with a significant F&B bill.
- Don't mind playing the same course and in fact would rather play a course I like over and over again.
