This was basically the argument that I made for targeted gun control. If there are two guns which are identical in their construction, but the one that looks like Rambo's wet dream is the one that is banned, that is exactly the right move. The people who use the weapon for a legal, intended purpose, won't care if it's ugly. The person that wants to look like a badass maniac, shouldn't have the gun in the first place.
