Yes I truly believe that happened versus the fabricated mess of a story you are conjuring up. I realize you are the hand to hand knife combat expert here, but I don't think there are a lot of options to mull over in the split second this woman reportedly exited her home brandishing a knife towards the officer(s) (in the enclosed space of an apartment building no less). Why don't we wait until the investigation reveals a little more information before we declare the officer a murderer? Or have you already made up your mind no matter the result?
