I think the term is despicable.
the cops that are out of control and beating on innocent people and protesters, despicable

The escalation is coming, we saw Korean Shop owners guarding their stores with guns during the LA Riots when the rioters turned their attention on their neighborhoods.
We're going to see an escalation fairly soon that's going to spiral.
