The only reason that an officer should make a demand in a situation like that is if there is either clear evidence of danger to the person or if that person is clearly a threat to others. Neither of those things were the case. The only people on that street in that moment were armed officers. There were no gunshots going off, there were clearly no people disturbing this residential neighborhood, there was absolutely zero clear or present danger. There is absolutely no reason for them to demand this person step inside their own home.

That entire thing is just a display of ego and a ridiculous grasp for power over others.
