This has probably been answered, but can a team activate a player late in the playoffs or do they need to be on the roster at the start?
ie: Let's say the Flames make the conference finals. It now makes more sense to play Valimaki or they have an injury at this point and want to use him. Could they do it? They're more likely activate him and worry about the expansion draft ramifications if there are potential Cup winning scenarios at play in the moment
