The Ducks made another blockbuster deal today, shipping off pesky Flames favourite Matthew Tkachuk.

The deal breaks down as follows:

TO FLAMES
M. Tkachuk
1st (ANA) 22'
2nd (LA) 21'

TO DUCKS
S. Couturier
6th pick this year

I hated moving Tkachuk, but we wanted a solid return after giving up the farm for Hart and Provorov.

The Ducks get one of the best two-way centres in the game in Couturier who can anchor the 2nd line and play top PK minutes. We also get our 6th pick back which was tough to give up in the first place. That helps a bunch with our depth.

The Flames one of their favourites, plus some futures which helps as he continues to re-build.
