List time!!

Covid has given us the gift of time to look into players more in depth than normal. So this list has been a couple.of weeks in the works and be warned, its very RW themed. Weird!

Flames 1st round:
1. Noel Gunler, Sniper RW. Plays both wings so another weapon for the PP. Good size, above average skating and has that Monny knack of finding space and time in front of the net. Also has a noticeable presence pressuring players in the defensive zone. I personally think he has that Shot that really great scorers have in the NHL, his set up for release is really deceiving.

Really fell in hockey love with this player not too long ago. I think he's the one I want the Flames to nab the most.

2. Rodion Amirov. Best all around option and not a rhs rw. Like his game. Russian factor drops another top talent into the Flames laps if they so choose. Could be a really interesting all Russian line in the future with little Z, Nikolaev in the middle and Amirov on the RW. All shots are off wing! Rare!

3. Jack Quinn. Older player in the draft but only just started taking things seriously in the gym and exploded this year. Average size, rhs plays all 3 forward positions. He's a late bloomer but he really took the bull by the horns this year. Another Ottawa 67 for the Flames? Kelly Hrudey always emphasizes puck elevation close to the net and Quinn does that in his sleep. Its crazy actually. He's really really good at getting top cheese a couple.feet in front of the goalie.

4.Seth Jarvis. Fast playmaker, a titch undersized but has great work ethic. Rhs RW. Mighty talented. Has good work ethic but I also find his style is missing that certain je ne sai quois.

5.Braeden Schneider. Only D man on this list. Rhs D, more of a stay at home.with snarl. We have all the Offensive D men we could ask for, we need a guy to stabilize the defensive zone.

Round 2:
Oliver Suni , RW Finnish player playing in the OHL. Strong finisher.
William Wallinder, D Swedish D man and one of the youngest in the draft, could go in the 1st round depending on how long runs on D men go. I'm torn. How many swedes do we need? Does it matter if we have majority swedes? Probably not. But Wallinder would be a no brainer with the 2nd round pick if he is there.
Dylan Peterson, C draft faller. PWF Centers don't grow on trees though. Worth a shot if the Flames list is dried up

Round 4
Igor Chibrikov, D. 6'7 speedy D man with an enormous wing span. High hockey IQ too? He might be the literal biggest underdog in this draft. Thats it, thats my 4th round choice, no one else. I watched a training video of him doing skating and stickhandling skills and he is fast. Like noticeably fast for a giant. Most 6'6 and taller d men are lumbering brutes, not this one.
