Community owned certainly doesn't mean a better situation...in fact it often points to private ownership not wanting to invest in that franchise because it isnt a stable situation.
The Stamps make money, dont kid yourself. They may not make as much as the Riders, because no one does, but they are far from unstable. Fact is they dont need to make as much because of the ownership.
As for the stadium...no kidding. McMahon is the worst stadium in pro sports.
As for your inferiority complex about Winnipeg, I can't really offer you much. It is what it is. A small city in the middle of the prairies that has brutal winters and untenable summers. The people are fine though.
Their sport teams are rivals of Calgary. Not sure you should expect much more than what you see....people loathe the jets and the Bombers. Good.
