Ha ha. He was joking it was something that wasn't well tracked as most toy gun collectors aren't the types to openly brag about their collections like real gun nuts. He was telling me about vaccine guns he acquired by accident when cleaning out old buildings with others and extremely fancy cap guns like the one you posted.
The dude did say something along the lines of having more than a barn full of the things and they're photographed and cataloged and insured, so I can imagine his collection is hard to compete with if he has enough to theoretically fill several shipping containers. He even mentioned that when someone stole a small pallet of some of his guns, insurance had to pay something like $15K alone for one of the toy guns. I think he mentioned something about wanting to throw together a toy gun museum with his collection if he gets bored with his business ventures or whatever. Something about trying to find a venue to share his eclectic collection with others.
He also said he loves to go to the car meet ups in Okotoks (especially classic NA cars). So if you were to poke around those types of meet up (when they return) you might find him there and be able to meet this interesting gentleman.
Interesting guy to chat with. I don't think we stopped talking the entire flight to Palm Springs.
