Jesus Christ that was unreal. They keep amping this up and its sad that it comes to an end on Monday.
Spoiler!
Tugging at the heart strings, having Bo wish that she was good at something besides war.
Sabine's mom with a cameo.
The exchange between Rex and Ashoka on the bridge, its not hard to believe that the Clones and the Jedi during this war are the same, lives consumed by the single minded pursuit of war.
Ashoka had a chance to really make a difference by disclosing to the Jedi Council about the conversation she had with Maul about Skywalker. Sidious' plot would have been unraveled right there, and Mace would have been fore warned. Sadly her belief in Anakin doomed them all.
That music for the first 10 minutes and the dead silence while it played. It just set your teeth on edge and for some reason, the sound effects for doors opening etc just felt more raw.
I loved that Rex fought it long enough to tell Ashoka to Find fives, and after everything Rex had misgivings about F's last actions.
That scene on the bridge, amazing. Heart breaking to see Clone Troopers wearing her colors trying to execute her. Its almost unfair, they spent seven seasons really making us like and care for the clones and then Order 66 happens, it really punches up the ROTS scenes.
BTW loved that we heard the fall of Anakin and that Maul and Ashoka heard the voices.
Ashoka with a lot of ruthlessness with Maul, sending him out to cause chaos after he again reached out to her. The line "I'm not rooting for you". I was thinking damn that's cold, he did nothing but try to warn you, and for whatever reason he offered you a way to stop the end of the Jedi.
Um Commander Rex, the Health and Safety officer wants to talk to you about destroying the escape pods.
Ashoka using the chant from Rogue one to find the chip.
I thought the Vader scene in Rogue One was bada$$. But Maul's causing chaos was breath taking and probably the most violent sequence in this series. He's a killing machine even without a lightsaber. two decaptitations, a couple of crushings, pulling the trooper into a closing door. All at this slow and measured walk. Damn.
That exchange between Ashoka and the council, "I did my duty as a citizen". And Yoda's "Not a Jedi". Then Mace being the jerk he is shot her down completly.
The end with the Clones burning through.
This story went almost like I thought it would except I had Maul actively rescuing Ashoka somehow. But Rex turning before getting his chip removed was smart writing.
Ashoka showed how close she was to Anakin right down to her standing in front of the window watching Hyperspace with her hands clasped behind her back, a very Vader pose.
Last episode coming up, they're trapped on a ship heading right into the capital surrounded by probably thousands of Clones. I think this is going to be the frantic escape episode from hell.
Guest spots, probably not many, we might see the Kenobi warning message. Vader won't be Vader anytime soon as we have to assume that Mustafar hasn't happened yet, but Ashoka has to leave thinking Anakin is dead and even Kenobi and Yoda. Will we see Cody again? Ventress? Padme?
God. That music and the animation in the first half.
Anyone else feel the hate coming off of Maul in waves when he was in that box?
