At this point the NHL is at risk of starting the process and having it cancelled part way through by public health/government officials.
IMO, it's the same tone deaf thinking that plagues the other league decision making.
If it wasn't for the NBA and the The Bay Area cancelling games, likely that the NHL would've been playing games through the middle of march.
Remember how absolutely insane the idea of playing in Saskatoon was?
The best thing Canada has going for it in terms of Covid is how early they cancelled major sporting events.
