At the start of the 2021-22 season, he'll be 25. Have 6 pro seasons under his belt. If he works out, the Flames have a cost controlled 6/7 dman. If not, its an easy contract to bury.
If you can fill your lower half of the roster with these cheap ELC free agents instead of paying into low multi millions for guys like Jordie Benn, Michael Del Zotto, etc... it adds up.
