Haven't seen this posted yet, but I just listened to Tommy's hit on the radio from Friday. Interesting part about Dom Malonga. Tommy was sharing how different parts of the world are in very different phases when it comes to soccer returning. He mentioned that he was in contact with Malonga who is back to training with his team in Bulgaria in small groups. Pinder then asked him a bit more about Malonga.
Tommy shared that he was a maverick and drove him up the wall at times. He said that Malonga loved his time here and that he's a big North American sports fan (a big NBA and Packers fan, apparently). The club was working on bringing him back but then he got the offer in China, which was way beyond what the club could offer. That fell through due to the corona virus situation in China at the time. He said Malonga wanted to then come back to Calgary but they had already signed Jair Cordova. He then got the offer in Bulgaria. As well, his partner and child are living in Italy right now.
