Just hotel rooms alone would be many many millions. Then you add catering/restaurants and everything else that is an expense while travelling and it adds up in a hurry.

Sure, it won't be nothing, but in the context of whether or not a government should make a concession of its social distancing laws and what economic benefit comes along with it, 30 million and 300 million are 2 very different conversations. One could argue that 30 million essentially vanishes if anything were to go wrong or if it lead to a break in social cohesion that leads to increase cases or prolonged curve flattening.
Anyhow, looks like captain Connor has duped another group of people that he has some kind of leadership quality.
