If we want musical acts. Think WCW The West Texas Rednecks was a classic case of WCW just doing things wrong.

Eric was addicted to bad cross over ideas, he bought in Kiss to debut the Kiss Demon as a wrestler and spent over a million dollars for a concert, he also promised Gene Simmons that the Demon would be a main event wrestler. Eventually the Demon who was originally suppossed to be Brian Adams was replaced by Dale Torberg who's now a major league hitting coach. But it bombed and to make Simmons happy they had the Demon jobbing in main event matches.

But back to the music. Eric had the brilliant idea of bringing in rapper Master P and the no limit soldiers, and paid them hundreds of thousands of dollars to wander around backstage yelling hooty hoo at everyone. They had a couple of guys to wrestle who really couldn't wrestle and they were basically there for a paycheck. One night Bobby Duncan and Curt Henning and the Windham brothers were driving down the road and they wrote the song Rap is Crap. They shot a video on it, and though they were suppossed to be the heel group to Master P's face group. The mostly southern WCW fans crapped all over Master P and his group and boo'd them out of the building every night.

Eventually Eric and Hulk Hogan forced the disbanding of the West Texas Rednecks because they were too popular and Hogan didn't want anyone to be more popular them him.

The Kiss Demon debut
