It's also much harder given how much of the NHL operates in two countries - players and teams.
For the NBA, you just force the Raptors to a neutral site in the US.
As far as ice surface concerns goes, you could do three games pretty easily. The WJHCs are 2-3 games every day.
None of this is realistic, however. The NHL doesn't want to cancel, so it keeps pushing two weeks at a time. But that is really just best case scenario planning.
