I was watching that game in 1983 Calgary/Vancouver when Rick Lanz tried to prevent Dave Hindmarch from cutting to the net and tripped him - Hindmarch fell on his side, and both knees slammed into the post - back when the nets didn't dislodge... it was awful.

Hindmarch had solidified as a good middle 6 NHLer - 25 years old, never played again.
