All joking ignorance aside, there is no guarantee that the Canucks will amount to anything but a middle of the road team.
Their top scorer J.T. Miller was in the middle of a career year, nearly doubling his best ever production. It is unlikely that he returns to that form. In fact a handful of players on their team were having a career year this year Including: Pearson, Virtanan, and Gaudette.
Also, this is by and large their team moving forward, as in they don't really have any exciting prospects waiting to make the team. Höglander is the only likely NHL player of the bunch.
A lot of teams make it to this point, but that in no was means that they will ever be more then a middle of the road team.
