We have acquired forward Sasha Chmelevski from the Hurricanes in exchange for thirds this year and next.

As a former Ottawa resident, I got to see Sasha play with the 67s on multiple occasions. He's a stellar hockey player. He had a fantastic age-20 season in the AHL this year and I'm confident that he'll turn into a top-six forward with the Sharks within a year or two. He reminds me of Andrew Mangiapane with a little more skill and poise.

Thanks to Carolina for the deal. Looking to move out some AHL bodies still.
