Stuff coming out of BC is that courses are closing because they can't deal with any potential closure due to a case (so no maintenance crew for 2 weeks is bad). But the big thing for them now in particular is the frost delays: can't stop the congregating and other 'violations' of social distancing. They want to get out ahead and shut down themselves before they're told to shut down (don't want to be the place singled out in the media, golf has a bad enough PR problem).
Golfers have been their own worst enemy in golf courses being able to stay open.
