Hopefully the no coolers and ballwashers thing stays, such a waste of maintenance time (and coolers have always been a health risk independent of coronavirus).

It won't be good for golf courses with the loss of cart rentals and F+B operations (and their core demographic being the most deterred by going out because of this), but still the potential for golf for people. The optimistic outlook is that it will get some people used to a more sustainable golf model. Though it will likely mean the death blow to courses that were already only just hanging on.
Its the right thing for now but walking 18 holes on a humid 95 degree day without water will kill your faster than a disease. When I play in the summer here, I typically start with a Gatorade bottle and refill it at least 7-8 times during a round and still am a bit dehydrated. It would be tough to bring enough water around the course to stay safe in summer in warmer states.
