It was literally a perfect deflection.
Just ass luck. What more can you make out of it? Even with rittich in that position, you set up that play fifty times and it probably goes in 1 of those 50.
He's not scoring from that angle without Mangiapane's stick being angled exactly as it was to get it through the opening.
