honestly, who do you think would be available this offseason? Going through each team the only one I see who
might be is Ryan Johanssen. And that leads to a whole other set of questions.
Is he actually a No 1 C? On a cup contender? Is he an upgrade on Monahan? What is the cost to acquire him? Do the Flames have to send the cheaper, younger Monahan the other way? If so, are they better off? There are no clear answers here.

I was all for the Flames going after Hall, and still think they should, and they will, be in on signing him. As we have seen, many players throughout the NHL play on their off wing. This is not a deal breaker. Treliving' job is to improve the team, and signing Hall would do so.
