Bloomberg has been talking up Biden lately a bit and also saying Bernie doesn't have a chance to beat Trump. It's not out of the realm he'd run as an independent if he didn't think Bernie was a better option than Trump.

As for Bernie...jesus, man! Stop cutting off your nose to spite your face! We're all on the same team here.
This is why nobody in the party likes Bernie. He can't play the game, not even a little.
Maybe that makes him a good candidate, but I think it also makes him a fool. Not even trying to play nice with the rest of the party keeps him as an outsider, and it's an uphill battle to win any election without a little bit of support. Too much pride and ego in ol' Bernie. Principle over pragmatism almost never wins.
