Jackets take the game of the week 5-1. Manny Legace with a solid game stopping 30 of 31 shots and being named 2nd star. Eric Cole had 2 goals and an assist and Peter Cajanek with a goal and 2 assists lead the offence. Dave Scatchard and Mark Streit also added power play goals. The Jackets held period leads of 2-0 and 4-0 and built up a 5-0 lead before Eric Lindros cracked Legace with 4:25 left in the game. Power play was 2-6 and the PK was 6-6. Outside of giving up too many shots it was a pretty solid all around effort.

With the win we jump past Phoenix into 9th place tied in points with the 8th place Predators, and 1 point back of Vancouver. Steve Rucchin suffered a minor injury in his first game with the Jackets its expected that he'll miss at least 1 game and maybe as many as 3.
