Concerning the development of Krazy 8 a couple of couple of observations. Should probably spoiler for speculation.

Also, I would have swore that big girl at the meth apartment was the same girl who played the cashier in Breaking Bad but apparently not.

In the very early episodes of Breaking Bad Krazy 8 and Emilio get killed by Walt, later when Hank is talking about Krazy 8 he says that he was one of their snitches. I'm guessing that him getting busted, with what is probably a felony amount (10 teenths?) of meth, is the set up for where Hank flips him and he starts informing. Also, in the pilot of Breaking Bad Hank is on TV being interviewed about a huge lab being taken down, lots of meth and cash siezed. Gotta think that's done with info from Krazy 8 and is maybe the fall of Lalo and/or Nacho? Might even be why Tio gets moved out to the desert and Tuco takes over the operation?
