I realize we keep getting into this
I get what you are saying, on paper I see no reason why the flames couldn't have a decent series against that team. However, this year's been a disaster (0-2, outscored 12-2), last year they went 2-2. If we include last year, the flames have never won in Vegas, and have scored 3 goals in 4 games there.
If we go back yet another year, again, the flames went 1-3, failed to win there and were outscored 11-3.
Historical results mean nothing in the playoffs, I get that. But as a matchup, by going on 3 years of data, it's not a great matchup. Especially, if they hold home advantage.
What is interesting is that the flames are actually an amazing road team this year, so hopefully we can put this whole "can't win in Vegas" thing to rest before the year's done.
