Signing Hall doesn't cost the Flames anything but money and cap space and some of that would be utilized by the void of removing Gaudreau's salary. My concern about his long-term effectiveness and a long-term deal is tied to the smoke that he doesn't take his conditioning seriously.
That will catch up with him at some point.
