There are cues for everything. In real life, it is speech, mannerisms and body language. Say you are sitting on a bus, does the person sit down beside you cautiously avoiding you or do they sit down and ram into you. Just ask recruiters (or poker players) about cues.
On social media, these are absent and replaced by writing style, and emphasis on things.
As you can see above, some view my presence on here as abrasive and disingenuous. Which is true sometimes. I do write in a matter of fact style even when wrong.
