Bit of a raw deal for Kyllington, whose game I've liked a lot lately. He's been quick on his feet, first pass has improved, decision making's been a lot better, and he's been more involved defensively too. Not much question Bort and Gus are upgrades though, on experience alone.
But while I hope we can retain Bort (to replace Hamonic) I don't expect Gus sticks around, based on salary expectations and given what he's said about giving the Hawks a heavy discount. That being he case, I'd like to see OK in a full-time role next year. He just oozes natural ability; one of the most fluid and natural skaters (like Brodie) you'll ever see.
Ideal scenario for me would be a 2021 D of:
Gio-Brodie
Hanifin-Anderson
Forbort-Kyllington
Losing Brodie would be a mistake, in my opinion.
