I would anticipate losing a defenceman every two rounds or so. Even if you make the 2nd round, there's a pretty good chance that your #7 will be promoted to your top 6 for at least a few games. I feel that the delta between two teams' talent levels is more important than simply who is the most skilled. If you're playing Stone and Davidson, they'll make Cassian look like McDavid, because they're not NHL-calibre D at this point in their careers. Kylington and Yelesin have potential, but they're not full-time NHLers yet, and would be badly exposed in the playoffs.
