My personal problem is that we didn't go ahead and trade brodie when the market was going gangbusters and management clearly knows this team isn't a competitor. Brodie gets us a 1st+ today easy. Poor asset management for unclear reasons- maybe to save face and try and push for a playoff spot? Just seems like double talk- they clearly know the roster isn't worth upgrading at this point with what was available, and Brodie isn't likely to re-sign, so why the F would you hold on to him...

I've speculated it a few times today but my guess is it's ownership telling management that they are expected to make the playoffs no matter what. I bet Brodie is long gone if Hamonic never got injured
